As our testing of the "polar" Oyster Perpetual 39 Reference 114300 showed, this watch is truly classic, elegant, understated and a little sporty. Like most Rolex watches. Simple, not simple. It's minimalist, not minimalist. It's clean, but not boring. Indeed, this is an interesting and often overlooked product in the collection and the professional models are the center of attention... Today a new version is added to the crown of this already large collection - 36mm, 34mm , 31mm, or 28mm - The New Rolex Oyster Perpetual 41 Reference 124300, also known as the OP 41.

This new Oyster Perpetual 41 features, as you might expect, a 41 mm case in brushed and polished Oystersteel (apparently the new standard for men's Rolex). The bezel is flat and polished, and the crown is exposed on the side of the case. It is water resistant to 100m and has a solid steel caseback. The watch is mounted on a classic 3-link Oyster bracelet, closed with an Oysterclasp and equipped with Easylink Comfort extension links to easily adjust the bracelet length to approximately 5 mm (practical for summer).

A new model means a new dial. And the main novelty here is the addition of a colored lacquered dial. Young, bright and vibrant, it pays homage to the vintage Stella dials. The Rolex Oyster Perpetual 41 2020 is available in two classic models shown here, in beautiful brushed silver with yellow gold indexes/hands and a classic black dial, plus a single color (not brushed) yellow, turquoise, red or Greens are also available. Dial A blue brushed dial is also available.

The dial is accented with double gold applied hour markers and baton hands at 3, 6 and 9 o'clock.

Another predictable novelty concerns the updated movement to the latest generation caliber 3230, shared with the new Submariner 41mm No Date. Equipped with the latest Chronergy escapement, Caliber 3230 boasts a comfortable power reserve of 70 hours, oscillates at 4 Hz and is anti-magnetic thanks to a nickel phosphorous escapement and blue Parachrom hairspring. Of course, it is a top-of-the-line chronometer. This means it is chronometer-certified by COSC and has since received an in-house certification. Accuracy is about -2 to +2 seconds per day.
